COVID Face Shields

During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, I was tasked with developing a manufacturing plan for face shields. Due to the rapid nature of the project, the drawings, manufacturing plan, and work instructions all had to be completed in a matter of a few weeks. Production started in March of 2020, in total the company made over 900 face shield kits (pictured below).

Some of the key roles I played in the development of this product:

• Developing a reliable printing process that also optimized for quantity (print layout shown below)

• Created manufacturing plan and associated work control documents

• Wrote work instructions to ensure technicians followed proper PPE and sanitization requirements

• Drawing creation and quality assurance requirements
