COVID Face Shields
During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, I was tasked with developing a manufacturing plan for face shields. Due to the rapid nature of the project, the drawings, manufacturing plan, and work instructions all had to be completed in a matter of a few weeks. Production started in March of 2020, in total the company made over 900 face shield kits (pictured below).
Some of the key roles I played in the development of this product:
Developing a reliable printing process that also optimized for quantity (print layout shown below)
Created manufacturing plan and associated work control documents
Wrote work instructions to ensure technicians followed proper PPE and sanitization requirements
Drawing creation and quality assurance requirements
Rapid development of face sheild manufacturing plan in response to the start of the pandemic in early 2020.
